First, the certification body 

 Standardization Testing & Quality Certification Directorate (STQC), part of the Government of India Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Information Technology Bureau. STQC established in 1980, initially in India for the production of electronic products for testing and calibration services for SMEs. As the business expanded, has become engaged in domestic and international large-scale electronic certification and product certification testing organizations. 

 STQC's main functions include detection of calibration, IT standards and quality audit, certification and quality training. The current focus on the Ministry of Information IT security, software testing and certification, but also to carry out quality system certification. 

 According to the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India, standardized testing and quality certification approved by the Council, STQC awarded S-Mark Safety signs. S-MARK have a certain reputation in the international and electronic products to enter India as the 'pass'.
